On Sunday, September 28th, 2025 award-winning author and music artist, Vanessa Ferlaino, partnered with DJ Seith for Transform The Night to support Indigenous communities. With a contribution from Northern Credit Union, we were able to contribute $3,000 CAD to our community spotlight partner, Nakehndan.
Community Spotlight
Nakehndan – Knowing Your Truth is a not-for-profit organization in Northern Ontario supporting Indigenous survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, gender based violence, human trafficking, and their families to heal as a unit.
Working with Indigenous women and families, Nakehndan offers a variety of culturally infused programming for women and families in Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding areas.
